Our story

A small shop in My An carrying the taste of Quang Ngai. Its own one-line introduction says it all: keeping the beauty of Quang Ngai food alive.

Five painted trays on the stairs of the shop

Mount An and the Tra River on the stairs

Walk in and you will see five hand-painted trays spelling out Núi Ấn, 76, Sông Trà. Those two names are the symbols of Quang Ngai. The shop likes to ask guests: how long has it been since you went back to Quang Ngai?

A folded pancake in a cast-iron pan at the shop

A pancake made the home way

Pancakes are poured into small pans the moment someone orders. The crust is paler than many expect, because many homes in Quang Ngai leave out turmeric. One guest said it tastes like the ones their mother made back home.

A bowl of the shop’s garlic chilli fish sauce

The dip, and a taste of home

The dip is slightly sweet fish sauce with garlic and chilli, with a mild one for children. A sign on the wall lists specialities from home: Ly Son onions and garlic, rice paper for rolls, pure peanut oil.

The 76 team sitting together in the shop

The people behind the shop

At Mid-Autumn the whole team celebrates together. One team member once wrote a short poem about tired hands at the pans and long days carrying plates, and the shop shared it with its guests.
